MOVIE STAR, INC. AND FLORA NIKROOZ, INC. JOINTLY ANNOUNCE THE TERMINATION OF DESIGN AND LICENSING AGREEMENT

New York, NY – December 23, 1999 -- MOVIE STAR, INC. (AMEX: MSI) today announced Flora Nikrooz, President of Flora Nikrooz, Inc. and Melvyn Knigin, President of Movie Star, Inc., have mutually agreed to end the design and licensing arrangements between the companies.

MOVIE STAR, INC. produces and sells ladies sleepwear, robes, leisurewear, loungewear, panties and daywear and also operates 28 retail outlet stores.
